Kelle Porter owns and manages RainMaker Marketing. She began her eCommerce career during the first dot com boom in 1999 as the Director of Marketing for NevadaBobs.com. It was a rare opportunity for a Canadian to be leading an international eCommerce site back then. She fell back on her advertising career after the crash and started working for Toronto-based digital creative advertising agencies who were helping Canadian and US brands with digital transformation. Some of the brands she helped were Procter & Gamble, Hershey’s, Bonefish Grill, Shoppers Drug Mart, Revlon to name a few. And during her digital agency time, she got to work on some of the Canada’s largest eCommerce sites like HomeDepot.ca, ShoppersDrugMart.ca, RoyalLePageCommercial.com, Entripy.com, FlapJackKids.com and many more.
Noticing a shift in Canadians willingness to buy more online along with a lot of new Canadian eCommerce start-ups, Kelle started RainMaker in 2017 with the purpose of helping the start-ups succeed. Kelle is now a popular Google-certified eCommerce coach, consultant, advisor and has helped home-based eCommerce businesses grow and expand internationally with sales exceeding expectations.

RainMaker is not currently a CDAP advisor but is considering applying as one when the government re-opens the application process in Fall of 2023. The rationale not to so far is because the eCommerce grants are only $2,400. We’ll let you know here if we become a CDAP advisor but we do work with many existing CDAP advisors.
